1 Killed, 1 Hurt When Car And Bus Crash In Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says a woman was killed and a man was hurt when their car collided with a bus in Westminster.

It happened about 8:25 a.m. Thursday on Medford Road at Stone Chapel Road. Deputies say a Ford Econoline bus driven by 51-year-old Ginger Gallagher of Westminster was crossing Medford Road when it was hit by a car.

Officers say the car was driven by 62-year-old Robert Tyson Jr. of New Windsor. Tyson and a passenger in the car, 60-year-old Kathleen Tyson of New Windsor, were taken to Carroll Hospital Center.

Deputies say Kathleen Tyson died at the hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
