1 Injured After Massive Fire Breaks Out In Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, Md. (WJZ)—One person was injured after a single family home went up in flames on Sunday morning.

It happened in the 11700 block of Sherbrooke Lane.

Pete Piringer with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue says there was heavy fire upon arrival to the scene.

Approximately 75 firefighters battled the blaze this morning.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation injuries.

Piringer says the home suffered a significant collapse.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
