1 Dead In Montgomery County Valentine's Day Crash

POTOMAC, Md. (AP) -- Police in Montgomery County are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a teenager dead on Valentine's Day.

Police said in a statement that they were called to the area of 12860 Travilah Road for the report of a crash. Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that a Dodge Viper traveling on the street left the roadway and struck a concrete wall.

Police said the 21-year-old driver in the crash was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A front seat passenger, identified by police as 18-year-old Christina

Koutsoukos of Gaithersburg, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died.

Police say that the collision remains under investigation and that speed is a possible factor in the collision.
