Suspect in multiple metro Atlanta child molestation cases now in custody, police say

A suspect in multiple child molestation cases in Cobb County has been taken into custody, authorities say.

Last week, the Cobb County Police Department shared surveillance photos of a man who investigators say they've now identified as 51-year-old Hysunn Lamar Rowan of Lawrenceville.

Officials described Rowan as a "danger to the public" who was a suspect in two cases in Cobb and others in Douglas County.

"His apprehension was the result of efforts by many law enforcement agencies working in collaboration. This includes the Cobb County Police Department, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the Douglasville Police Department, the Clayton County Sheriff's Office, the Henry County Police Department, and the Stockbridge Police Department," the department wrote on Facebook.

Rowan is charged with enticing a child for indecent purposes, loitering by a sex offender, and three counts of child molestation. Additional charges may be pending.

The Lawrenceville man was booked into the Cobb County Jail and remains in custody without bond.
