Fire crews battle large house fire in Forest Park; injuries reported

Firefighters in Forest Park have contained a large residential structure fire that broke out Monday off the 5700 block of Dunwoody Avenue, according to Forest Park Fire & Emergency Services.

Crews were initially called to the scene around 6 a.m. after reports of a significant fire, prompting officials to urge nearby residents to stay away as firefighters worked to control the flames. At least two people were reported injured, though authorities have not released details about the severity of those injuries.

Fire officials said the blaze is now under control, but crews remain on scene to monitor for hotspots and to help ensure the safety of residents in the surrounding area.
