Born and raised in Houston, Parsons began acting in the first grade. He went on to study acting at the University of Houston and later earned a master's degree from the University of San Diego. His feature film credits include "Garden State" and "Gardener of Eden," while his television work includes a recurring role on "Judging Amy" and his current role on "The Big Bang Theory."
