"Star Trek Into Darkness" trailer released


Trekkies have something to get excited over. The trailer for J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Trek" sequel, "Into Darkness," has been released.

The trailer gives a good first look at franchise newcomer "Sherlock's" Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the film's villain.

"You think your world is safe. It is an illusion," Cumberbatch's voice states in the trailer. "A comforting lie told to protect you. Enjoy these final moments of peace. For I have returned to have my vengeance."

The trailer also reveals some familiar faces: Chris Pine as Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, and Zoe Saldana as Uhura.
