Sinead O'Connor has a "proper rock n' roll wedding"

(CBS) Irish singer-songwriter Sinead O'Connor reportedly said she wanted a "proper rock n' roll wedding" and that is just what she got.

The singer tied the knot on her 45th birthday while sitting in the back of pink Cadillac in Las Vegas on Thursday.

She and married Irish therapist Barry Herridge on the Las Vegas strip at A White Wedding Chapel, reports People magazine.

"I've been married before, but I've never had my dream wedding in Vegas. I wanted to do it there because it's casual, quick, not religious and, most of all, very romantic," O'Connor said, according to Reuters.

She told the Irish Independent that getting married to get married in Vegas would be "proper rock 'n roll wedding."

The couple only met a few months earlier when O'Connor solicited for a man on Twitterin August. This was her fourth wedding.
