Prince William and Kate release new portrait with Prince George

Britain's popular royal couple may be focused on the horizon, but their baby boy is pretty captivated by the family dog.

Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, released their latest family portrait late Saturday, just over a week ahead of Prince George's first trip abroad.

The portrait captures the royal family at their home in London's Kensington Palace March 18. Kate holds the 8-month-old George as he looks upon the family dog, Lupo, being held by William, as the parents look out the window frame.

The family plans to depart for Australia and New Zealand April 7.

Chances are that George will find himself in front of a camera or two during the trip.
