Patrick Stewart acting masterclass: The Quadruple Take
(CBS News) "It's a rarely used device in comedy, but it has its place." That's how acting legend Sir Patrick Stewart describes the move he's about to teach to his fiancee in the video above: the elusive "quadruple take." It truly is a sight to behold. Click it and see what I mean.
This video was posted by Stewart's soon-to-be bride, singer Sunny Ozell, who bills the lesson as a masterclass. It's great to see that at 73 years old, Professor Xavier still has a great sense of humor. You can't help but smile along as you watch such a renowned star of stage and screen let loose.
It's also funny to see Captain Jean-Luc Picard seeming in somewhat less than total command. For instance, when he says "I lost count halfway through," and he's only counting to four. Or the giggling. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
Regardless, I'm happy to see this video exists and that Sir Stewart is willing to pass on his acting secrets to the next generation.
