NEW YORK (CBS) Former NBA player Earl Watson, who filed for divorce last week from "My Wife and Kids" actress Jennifer Freeman after she allegedly bit him on the chest, has decided to withdraw his petition and reconcile with his wife, his attorney told a celebrity website.

According to legal papers filed in L.A. County Superior Court obtained by TMZ, Watson claims his wife furiously sank her teeth in his chest until she "[drew] blood" after he grew suspicious of a text message on her phone.

The actress also allegedly tried to attack him with an iron, but was unsuccessful, according to the documents.

The events unfolded on August 1,  just before midnight.

But Watson has apparently had a change of heart.

Watson's lawyer, William Briggs, told TMZ that "the couple has reconciled their differences and plans to make their marriage work."

The celebrity website updated their existing story about Watson on Wednesday at around 5:00 PM.
