Britney Spears' Sis Has Baby

Just call her Aunt Britney now.

The pop star's younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, gave birth to a baby girl this morning.

A person close to the Spears family confirmed the baby's birth to The Associated Press. The person asked not to be identified because the family had not yet made an official announcement.

Jamie Lynn, 17, and her fiancé Casey Aldridge, 19, are the proud parents of Maddie Briann, born at 9:30 a.m. at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Miss., according to E! Online.

A spokeswoman for the hospital told CBSNews.com that, in compliance with patient information privacy laws, she cannot release such information without the patient's permission.

The hospital is near the Spears' family home in Kentwood, La.

Nickelodeon, the network which airs Jamie Lynn's show "Zoey 101," issued a statement about the birth on Thursday, saying, "We wish her and her family well." Nickelodeon spokeswoman Marianne Romano said that filming of the fourth and final season of the kid-oriented program was completed last summer before Jamie Lynn became pregnant.

According to OK! Magazine, Britney flew home to Louisiana Wednesday with her father Jamie, brother Bryan and an assistant to be there for the birth.

Jamie Lynn was the star of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101" and Aldridge is a pipe-layer from Liberty, Miss. They announced the pregnancy in December.
