Blixen's House

The exterior of the Rugstedlund Estate in Rugsted, Denmark, is now a museum. The estate was once the home of writer Karen Blixen, who also used the pen name Isak Dinesen.

The museum has benefited from the popularity of the movie Out of Africa, which won the Academy Award for best picture in 1986, and which starred Meryl Streep as Blixen.
