Ashley Judd is revealing she spent 47 days being treated for depression and other emotional problems.

Judd tells Glamour magazine that she was visiting her sister, Wynonna, who was being treated for food addiction at a center in Texas, when counselors told her she could use some help, too.

She says it was a relief that they noticed because "no one had validated" her pain before.

Judd sums up her experience by saying "I was unhappy and now I'm happy." She says her marriage and friendships are much better now.
