What Do You Like Best about Your Job?

On Saturdays I try to post something that's a bit lighter and less sales-focused. This time it's been hard for me. It's been a rough week. I worried about the economy. At about midnight last night, I just gave up. The whole situation just seemed too depressing.

But then I started thinking. A good way to appreciate what you have is to face losing it. So I started thinking about what I like about what I do for a living. And that made me feel a lot better about everything, including losing pretty much everything I've saved over the past ten years.

What I enjoy about writing is that I feel that I'm really making a difference. That's particularly true of this blog, because I get a lot of feedback from you guys about that. And I like the way that my posts become forums for people to discuss these issues, usually with far more intelligence and perception than I could possibly muster on my own.

There are other things, too, like working from home, but the pleasure I get out of my job really comes down to having the ability to help people. Anyway, if you think that this blog has been useful or helpful in any way, I'd like you to do me a favor.
