CBS News sat down with the actresses of the New Line film and each gave her own take on the glue that binds their four-way film friendship, on- and off-camera.

"We definitely feel like a foursome in that we've gone through this tremendous experience," says Kristin Davis, 45, speaking of the wildly successful series and the characters that each plays.

"This is a family," says actress Kim Cattrall, 53, "and like any family, you go through terrific times and you go through hard times and you love each other. You have each other's back, no matter what happens."

For 14 years, there's a lot of ground to cover. "Yeah, [we've] been through a lot," says actress Cynthia Nixon, 44. "'Sex and The City' related and not 'Sex and The City' related."

"It doesn't matter what a tabloid says or doesn't say," Sarah Jessica Parker, 45, tells CBS News, "nobody will ever understand the kind of incredibly wonderful friendship and reliance that we have upon one another."

Their proven fashion of friendship looks to stand the test of time, no matter what's in season.
