Neil Patrick Harris is done hosting for a "long time"

It may be time to call on one of the former Emmy hosts that "interrupted" Neil Patrick Harris during his opening bit from Sunday's Emmy Awards. While The "How I Met Your Mother" actor predominantly received positive reviews for his emcee job during Sunday's telecast, the 40-year-old star took to Twitter on Monday to say that he may take some time off from any future hosting duties -- Emmy or otherwise.

Perhaps he really is suffering from "excessive hosting disorder," as his fellow "How I Met Your Mother" cast mates joked at the Emmys on Sunday.

Harris has been the go-to awards show guy recently -- having hosted the Tony Awards four times, and now the Emmys twice -- but it looks like he's ready to take a break from the demands of the job for a while. The endless rehearsals combined with the damned if you do, damned if you don't post-show critiques are sure to be exhausting. But who knows, after leading this years Emmy's to thehighest ratings since 2005, maybe by this time next year he'll be rested enough.

Tell us: Would you like to see Harris host again in the near future?
