CBS NEWS SPACE REPORTER'S HANDBOOK

The CBS News Space Reporter's Handbook, by William Harwood, is available in pdf format. The SRH includes detailed crew and mission background while a separate set of appendices covers station/shuttle program statistics, space demographics data, abort background and information about the Challenger and Columbia disasters.

    SPACECALC

    SpaceCalc is a Microsoft Excel workbook assembled by William Harwood that is loaded with shuttle and space station flight, timeline and statistical data. Macros are included to run various clocks and timers. NOTE: This is a constantly evolving work in progress; pages are updated as data becomes available from NASA. In some cases, worksheets will reflect data from the previous flight until the next mission is underway. The user is assumed to be familiar with Excel.

    BOEING NOTEBOOK

    Boeing's Reporter's Space Flight Notepad is available for download. This notebook, in pdf format, is updated by Boeing after every mission and provides a wealth of data about past space shuttle flights, the international space station and the new CEV/CLV systems under development from the Exploration program.
