Light bouncing off orbiting satellites threatens critical astronomy

Researchers have found an ever-growing number of satellites orbiting the planet threaten the ability of astronomers to study the sky at observatories around the world. Light from the sun bounces off the satellites and contaminates astronomical imagery with streaks of light.
