Word of the Day: Nonplussed

You may be nonplussed and not even realize it. As Katie mentioned today: "So many people use it and thinks it means unfazed." It doesn't. Take a look at the noun from which it derives:

Nonplus n. A condition of perlexity in which one is unable to go, speak or act further. Puzzled.
In other words, the incorrect use of 'nonplussed' has left Katie nonplussed.
