Woman Hires Witch Doctor Then Hit Man to Hurt Hubby

GREENVILLE, S.C. (CBS/AP) Apparently the witch doctor was just taking too long ...or maybe the spells weren't working.

Multiple media outlets reported that a 71-year-old South Carolina woman has been arrested and accused of trying to hire a hit man to hurt her husband.

A police report states that Sieglinda Falk Bass of Greenville thought a witch doctor was taking too long to put a spell on her husband, whom she accused of cheating on her.

An arrest warrant states Bass approached a man Aug. 1 and offered him up to $500 to hurt her husband. The man went to police.

Bass has been released from a Greenville jail on a $10,000 bond on a charge of solicitation to commit a felony. No telephone listing for her could be found and jail officials didn't know if she had an attorney.
