Katie is off, I'm Bianca Solorzano. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the law that established the minimum wage.

In 1938, as America struggled to climb out of the Depression, that wage was 25 cents an hour. It didn't hit $1 until 18 years later.
