For the past six years, Matt Czuchry has played lawyer Cary Agos on the CBS show "The Good Wife." This season, Agos is facing trial for allegedly aiding former client and drug lord, Lemond Bishop, in evading the law. Now, the FBI is trying to convince Agos to turn on Bishop.

"This particular character I play went from a jerk and Alicia's competitor to, in season five, they opened a firm together," Czuchry said on "CBS This Morning." "And now my character's in jail and she's fighting for me to get me out of jail, so that growth of the character, I think, is why the audience has been sticking around for fortunately six seasons."

But he didn't start there. Czuchry famously played Logan Huntzberger, Rory's boyfriend on "Gilmore Girls."

"Certainly that was a before-and-after moment for me with 'Gilmore Girls' and it will be a before-and-after moment with 'The Good Wife' as well," he said.

Although he's been finished with the cult classic for nearly eight years, at least one professional habit has remained the same. To prepare for a scene, Czuchry makes playlists to put himself in a specific mindset.

"This season has been a lot of depressing music because my character is going through so much emotionally," he said. "It depends on the context of the scene and the tone of the scene."

Czuchry has also made headlines for being pegged by Gotham Magazine as one of New York's most successful bachelors. Although they said he's "all about work" on set, the committed actor still tries to find time for his fans.

"I got into this, to be an actor, in terms of finding connections with people I may never meet," he said. "If fans come up to me, I try to give them that time, because one of the reasons I have a job is because of fans."
