(CBS) -- Texas police arrested a 21-year-old man allegedly caught having sex with a 15-year-old girl in her bedroom. That's when the girl's parents put him in a headlock and restrained him until authorities arrived, New York Daily News reports.

Carlos Narvaez was booked into Harris County Jail Thursday on $35,000 bail on a charge of sexual assault of a child. The girl's parents told CBS affiliate KHOU on Friday that Narvaez met their daughter on a social networking site called MocoSpace and the two were communicating for about two weeks.

The girl's mother said she was checking on her youngest daughter before bedtime when she found Narvaez under the sheets. KHOU is concealing the identities of the victim and her parents for their protection.

"I walked in the room and turned on the light," the mother told KHOU. "He just stands up, and I'm like, oh my god, what are you doing here? He's like, I've got to go. I'm like, no, you're not going anywhere."

She said she threatened to shoot him and then screamed for help. This alerted the girl's stepfather who went to find out what the commotion was about.

"[I put him in a] headlock and almost got him to the point of passing out," the stepfather told KHOU. "I told him, you don't want it to get any worse, chill and just wait until the cops get here."

The parents said their daughter claimed she was only watching movies on her laptop during her interactions with Narvaez online. They grounded the girl indefinitely and prohibited her from using the Internet.
