Following up on his trip to the Capitol yesterday, President Obama has invited about two dozen congressional leaders to his house -- the White House -- tonight for a cocktail party.

The gathering for drinks is yet another move by Mr. Obama to bolster his relationships with both sides of the aisle in Congress. The guest list tonight includes six representatives and five senators from each party, New York Times.

The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., reports the Times, after the House votes on the president's economic stimulus package.
