No one swiped right on Zac Efron when he joined Tinder

The dating world can be hard for anyone, even Zac Efron.

The "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" star has been having a tough time finding a date for himself, if you can believe it -- at least using modern technology. Efron tells the Sunday Times that signing up for Tinder didn't end very well for him.

"Amazingly, when I signed up for Tinder, nobody swiped me," Efron admitted. "They thought it was fake."

While some might not feel too sympathetic toward Efron for his online dating strikeout, he was trying the app for a reason: Being a celebrity makes traditional avenues for meeting women difficult.

"Dating is something I'll never be able to do, as in the dictionary definition of dating," he said. "Because one way or another, I've impacted that person's life and they'll soon realize it."

"A date has to be very long to dispel whatever people think about me." And who has the time?
