McCain to Speak to Urban League on Day After 'Race Card' Accusation
(ORLANDO, FLA.) – John McCain will address the National Urban League's convention here later this morning, a day after his campaign manager, Rick Davis, said that Barack Obama "has played the race card." Obama is scheduled to speak to the traditionally African-American organization tomorrow.
McCain then heads to the other side of the state, where he will stop by the "Country First" concert in Panama City. Country singer John Rich, one-half of the duo "Big and Rich," is the headliner of the show and plans to debut a song he wrote about presumptive Republican nominee called "Raising McCain," which talks about the McCain's days as a POW in Vietnam.
"The entire world is looking for a way to sucker punch us," Rich told the Associated Press.
"National security is absolutely at the top of the list of issues. That's why I think John McCain is the guy to keep us safe."
