Maryland woman stabbed to death, roommate charged
ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Police have arrested and charged the roommate of a woman found Tuesday morning stabbed to death in her Rockville, Md. condominium, reports CBS affiliate WUSA.
Police were called to 67-year-old Chung Park's condo Tuesday morning.
They found Park's body on her bedroom floor; she had been stabbed multiple times in the back.
Park's roommate, Rita Narcissa Sanders-Campfield was in the condo at the time and had injuries that appeared to be bite marks on her right arm, police said in a statement released Wednesday.
Detectives found a journal next to Sanders-Campfield's bed, in which an entry allegedly referred to the victim as "evil" and included allegations that Park practiced "witchcraft."
Scissors with blood on them were allegedly found on Sanders-Campfield's bed.
They found her body inside, and say the suspect, 53,, was at the scene.
Police announced Sanders-Campfield's arrest Wednesday morning. She's charged with first-degree murder.
