(CBS) WESTMINSTER, Colo. - Police say the search for 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway, who went missing on Friday, has expanded to Missouri, CBS affiliate KMOV reports.

Jessica went missing after leaving for school Friday morning. She left her Colorado home around 8:30 a.m., but never made it to school.

"The urgency started when we got the notification," said Detective Trevor Materasso of the Westminster Police. "We're using as many resources as we can pull in."

The school called Jessica's mother to inform her that her daughter did not make it to school. However, Jessica's mother works overnight shifts and often sleeps until the afternoon, so she did not receive the message until 4:30 p.m. The mother immediately called police after receiving the news.

Investigators searched the home shared by Jessica's father and grandmother, who live in Independence, Mo.

"The police asked if they could search my house and I said yes because we'd do anything in the world to get her back, " said Donna Moss, Jessica's grandmother. "We want her back as soon as we can get her."

Hundreds of searchers spent Saturday searching for Ridgeway in and around Westminster.
