Jennifer Lawrence calls for "new normal" in body standards

Amy Schumer said on Tuesday that she does not like being called "plus size," and now Jennifer Lawrence is saying she doesn't like being called "normal."

The actress told Harper's Bazaar that she's sick of hearing that she's "normal" for a famous person because she's not as thin as some other actresses.

"I would like us to make a new normal-body type," she said.

Lawrence pointed out that she works out every day.

"Everybody says, 'We love that there is somebody with a normal body!'" she explained. "And I'm like, 'I don't feel like I have a normal body.' I do Pilates every day. I eat, but I work out a lot more than a normal person. I think we've gotten so used to underweight that when you are a normal weight it's like, 'Oh, my God, she's curvy.' Which is crazy. The bare minimum, just for me, would be to up the ante."

Lawrence admitted there's a personal reason why she wants people to stop calling her "normal" for a Hollywood star: "At least so I don't feel like the fattest one," she said.
