Alabama mother arrested in death of baby in hot car

MONROEVILLE, Ala. -- An Alabama woman has been charged in the death of her 7-month-old baby in a hot car on Friday, reports CBS affiliate WKRG.

Zachary Bowden's core temperature was 110 degrees when he died, according to police. He had allegedly been left in Jennifer Bowden's car for three hours.

An officer stopped Bowden as she was speeding to a hospital with the baby's body in her car.

Bowden has an older son who she had dropped off at school Friday morning before Zachary Bowden's death.

Bowden is charged with reckless manslaughter. Her bond was set at $30,000.
