Gotta Love This Parade

A turkey, a frog, a big bird and a man playing Mrs. Claus.

They're just some of the characters of the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in New York.

Thousands have turned out on a sunny, warm day to watch the floats and balloons romp through Manhattan.

Mixed in somewhere is Broadway's most famous drag queen. Actor Harvey Fierstein is appearing as Edna Turnblad, his character from "Hairspray." But the twist is, the character is dressed as Mrs. Claus.

The parade is being led by Jake the turkey, who hasn't been seen at the parade in more than 40 years. Other vintage balloons from past decades have also been dusted off.

Charlie Brown and Big Bird are making their usual appearances, along with Super Grover and Garfield the Cat.

As for the humans, "American Idols" Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken are performing, along with Kool and the Gang.
