Fiery Plane Crash in Phoenix

(CBS) A small plane crashed Wednesday morning outside Deer Valley Airport in north Phoenix, Arizona. Police said the pilot was killed in the crash.

The plane, a Cirruss S-R 22 single-engine aircraft, crashed a short time after taking off. The pilot is believed to be the only one on board and no injuries were reported on the ground.
