Fashion's Good Guy

We are winding up Fashion Week here in New York City. There are tons of designers and lots of shows, but there is one I never fail to miss: Carmen Marc Valvo.

Carmen has grown to be a friend over the last several years. I wear his gowns all the time on the red carpet. Not only do they fit great, they also look really appropriate (for a news anchor in her mid-40's) and are really classy, while being a bit sexy at the same time. The best part is that Carmen designs for real women of all shapes and sizes. His dresses sell like crazy because almost anyone can wear them -- not just stick-thin supermodels.

And while he pushes his collections in new directions -- this one was a sea shell theme -- his clothes maintain the same qualities with beautiful fabrics, textures and cuts ... dresses that quite simply, make you feel pretty. But that's just part of what makes Carmen special.

He is a colon cancer survivor and has dedicated an enormous amount of time and energy to that cause. Hardworking and humble, he treats others with dignity and respect and that is biggest reason why I like representing him on the red carpet!
