Facing the Music: Ga. woman arrested in dispute with cops over...loud music

Candida Summerlin allegedly had an unharmonious run-in with Cobb County, Ga. sheriff's deputies over loud music. CBS Atlanta

(CBS/AP) MARIETTA, Ga. - A Cobb County woman will have to "face the music" because police say she drove her car into two deputies outside the county jail who had told her to...turn down her music.

Sheriff's officials say 32-year-old Candida Summerlin got into it Friday with the deputies, who asked her to lower the music blasting from her car - whereupon she allegedly struck them with the car, and tried to flee.

Col. Milton Beck says Summerlin is being held without bail in the Cobb County jail. She's facing 27 charges, aggravated assault, fleeing and attempting to elude, hit and run and reckless driving.

A warrant says one of the deputies broke a leg when she was struck by Summerlin's bumper and will have to undergo surgery.
