"Duck Dynasty" scarecrow stolen from north Ga. city, $1,000 reward for return of Uncle Si Robertson likeness
(CBS/AP) BALL GROUND, Ga. - A scarecrow made to look like one of the men in the reality TV show "Duck Dynasty" has been stolen, and police in Georgia are offering a $1,000 reward for its return.
The creation was made to look like Uncle Si Robertson.
Now that's scary.
The scarecrow, which depicts the character wearing camouflage and sitting on a hay bale with his legs crossed, went missing between Wednesday night and Thursday morning in the little city of Ball Ground, about 50 miles north of Atlanta.
City Clerk Karen Jordan tells the Cherokee Tribune that the scarecrow was a favorite in the community's first-ever scarecrow contest.
Four mothers of local fourth-graders spent more than 40 hours to make the scarecrow (now that's really scary). One of them, Allison Martin, said she couldn't believe someone would swipe their children's favorite character.
Here's hoping the thief has a brain.
