Cops: Jersey Pimp King Had Throne in Living Room, Women as Sex Slaves
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS/AP) His nickname was "Prince." Maybe that explains the throne police say they found in the home of a man indicted for enslaving hundreds of women, maybe thousands, in a massive prostitution ring.
Allen "Prince" Brown, a wealthy Jersey City man, is accused of being "pimp-in-chief" in the sex ring that allegedly forced women to use drugs so Brown could control them, according to CBS 3 Philadelphia.
Brown was indicted by a state grand jury on Friday.
New Jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram called it a "shocking case of human trafficking," saying Brown took away women's cell phones and identifications, kept them in locked rooms and used violence against those who did not meet daily quotas of up to $1,000.
The 47-year-old man is also accused of laundering money through his mother's bank account.
Six others also were indicted with Brown for either helping to run the ring or for laundering money. Some of those indicted were Brown's relatives, according to the t-v station.
It was not immediately clear whether Brown has a lawyer.
