Christine O'Donnell Web Ad Echoes "Hide Your Kids, Hide Your Wife" Video

Christine O'Donnell is out with a new web video that seems to echo the "Bed Intruder" viral video that has more than 31 million views on YouTube.

In the "Bed Intruder" video, Antoine Dodson is shown in video from a local news report saying people should "hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband, 'cause they're raping everybody out here." (See it below.)

Toward the end of the O'Donnell web video, an attack on Democratic opponent Chris Coons, an announcer says, "hide your will, hide your lights, 'cause he's taxing everything out here." (See it at left.)

The O'Donnell campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the apparent allusion.

The minute-long O'Donnell video is structured like a movie trailer, with Coons cast as the bad guy. The ad says he "stood against the tide and raised taxes...thought that a 911 call should be taxed...thought property taxes should be hiked almost 50 percent."

The negative web video comes on heels of two mostly-positive television adsfrom O'Donnell in which she denies being a witch and tells voters, "I'm you."

Polls show Coons with a comfortable lead over O'Donnell, the Tea Party-backed candidate who defeated a moderate Republican in the primary. The two are set to debate tomorrow evening.
