Calif. brothers found guilty of murder in barbershop shooting

SACRAMENTO, Calif.-- Two brothers were convicted on all charges related to a deadly 2010 barbershop shooting, while two other suspects were found guilty on different charges, reports CBS Sacramento.

Lonnie and Louis Mitchell were both found guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting at Fly Cuts & Styles. James Carney was convicted of a voluntary manslaughter charge. Larry Jones was found guilty on a misdemeanor charge.

Sentencing for all four defendants is set for Sept. 19.

Prosecutors say on Dec. 14, 2010, a shootout erupted between rival gang members at the crowded Sacramento barbershop.

Marvion Barksdale, 20, was shot in the chest and died in the barbershop.

Monique Nelson, 30, had just strapped her child into his car seat and attempted to shield him when the shooting broke out. She was shot and killed.
