Britney Spears to release new song for "Smurfs" sequel

Britney Spears is releasing a track for the boys -- the little boys, that is.

The 31-year-old singer has just revealed that she's recorded a new song titled "Ooh La La" for "The Smurfs 2" soundtrack.

Spears broke the news via Twitter Wednesday morning, saying that she had recorded the song for her sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston.

She tweeted: "Remember that surprise song I recorded for my boys? It's coming soon! #OohLaLa for #TheSmurfs2 :) Stay tuned for more..."

The upcoming single was written and produced by Dr. Luke, who has worked with Spears on previous hits "Hold it Against Me" and "Circus."

"I have always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurf fans EVER," Spears said in statement. "I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie. I know they'll think it's Smurftastic!"

"The Smurfs 2" is set to hit the big screen on July 31.

Tell us: Are you excited for this new Britney track, or are you worried it will be too kidtastic?
