Watch Anna Kendrick, Lisa Kudrow and Craig Robinson play wedding reception losers in the "Table 19" trailer

What's the most awkward wedding experience you've ever had? The folks at "Table 19" can probably top it.

Anna Kendrick and Lisa Kudrow lead an eclectic cast of misfits seated at the "leftover" table at a wedding, as featured in the film's first official trailer, which debuted Thursday.

Stephen Merchant, June Squibb and Tony Revolori round out the "Table 19" cast -- and from the looks of things, they're not going to take their seating assignment lying down.

If you're curious about the film, here's the official synopsis:

"Ex-maid of honor Eloise (Kendrick) -- having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text -- decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend's wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the 'random' table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets (but not before sending something nice off the registry). As everyone's secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Friendships -- and even a little romance -- can happen under the most unlikely circumstances."

"Table 19" will be released in select theaters January 20, 2017.
