Americans Need To Know About The Stimulus

Today's Washington Post has a front page headline which claims there are not enough votes in the Senate to pass President Obama's stimulus package.
I dare say most Americans don't know what's in it. And the Republicans have done a pretty good job of complaining about what they didn't like.
Most Republicans and Democrats agree there needs to be a stimulus, but how much does the current bill simply grow the government, and how much really will jump start the beleaguered economy?
The problem is TARP. When were told last fall that the sky was falling in the banking world, hundreds of billions of dollars were pledged to bail them out. How that money is being used though is anyone's guess.
Executive compensation, naming of baseball stadiums, the White House needs to realize we were burned once, we don't want to burned again.
