Amber Heard and Johnny Depp record awkward Australia apology video

You wouldn't know Amber Heard and Johnny Depp were professional actors by watching this video.

In conjunction with Heard's pleading guilty to providing a false immigration form to bring her and Depp's pet terriers into the country, the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources also had the married movie stars record an apology video, posted to the agency's YouTube channel.

While Heard offers a heartfelt if unenthusiastic apology and flatly extols the virtues of the Australian ecosystem, a grim-faced Depp mostly sits by, adding asides such as, "When you disrespect Australian law, they will tell you firmly."

Heard had two more serious charges against her dropped, avoiding jail time, though she does have to pay a fine of $100 AUS and must not commit any offenses in the nation during the next month.

When asked why Depp wasn't charged, prosecutors said there was a "lack of admissible evidence" against him.

Heard's lawyer argues that his client never meant to misrepresent herself on her landing card by failing to declare the two dogs but was instead jet-lagged and thought her assistants had sorted it out. Prosecutors did not find that argument compelling.
