Warships in holding pattern as diplomacy of Syria strike grows complicated
U.S. and British submarines and destroyers are waiting in the Mediterranean for the go-ahead to strike Syrian targets. Britain's prime minister submitted a motion to parliament requiring U.N. experts to complete work in Syria before British forces take part in a strike, but the U.S. doesn't intend to wait that long.
