Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and Metropolitan Police Chief Peter Newsham on Monday called for residents to report illegal guns after a four-day spate of violence left seven dead in the nation's capital. Among the slain was 11-year-old Karon Brown, who was in the back seat of a car when a gunman opened fire on the vehicle Thursday.
