NORTH TEXAS — Following a stretch of mornings with lows below freezing, things are starting to warm up.

Lows this weekend will bottom out in the mid-30s and low-40s. Highs on Saturday will be very mild, topping out in the upper 50s and lower 60s across DFW.

Clouds will gradually build throughout the day Saturday, before rain rolls in overnight and into Sunday.

Sunday is far from a washout, but do expect scattered, light showers at times, under mainly cloudy skies. Saturday will be the nicer weekend day, albeit breezy.

As for next week, temperatures do remain mild and near average, but we will hang onto the rain chances.

For Monday, a mainly dry day with clouds and highs in the middle 50s. Southerly flow then sends temps back into the 60s for Tuesday and Wednesday, with isolated rain chances both days, then heavier rain on the way into the end of the week.

The greatest shower chances look to arrive Thursday and Friday, with some heavier rain, and the potential for thunderstorms. All things the First Alert weather team will be watching next week.
