Saturday started off slightly warmer than the previous days in North Texas this week, but it still felt chilly due to breezy southerly winds, which made the temperature feel like it was in the upper 20s to low 30s.

The southerly winds will boost temperatures into the low 60s as the afternoon progresses.

Expect a dry day with increasing clouds in the afternoon and evening — perfect weather for attending the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.

A cold front will sweep through the area overnight, bringing in cooler air and a few showers.

Any precipitation will remain spotty Sunday and focused east of I-35.

Northerly winds behind the front keep temperatures in the 40s for most of the day, with afternoon highs topping around 50 degrees.

An unsettled weather pattern will bring rain chances back to the area from mid- to late-week next week.

Be prepared for heavy rainfall at times, accompanied by a few rumbles of thunder.

Rainfall totals between 1 to 4 inches are possible, especially along and east of I-35.

After a brief cooldown on Sunday, temperatures will warm back into the low 60s by Tuesday.

Rain and cloudy conditions will keep temperatures in the 50s on Thursday and Friday.
