A cold front moved through North Texas overnight, bringing a chilly start to the day with wind chills in the upper 20s.

While it will be a sunny Saturday, temperatures will only warm into the mid- to upper-40s.

Strong northerly winds will keep it feeling like the 30s for most of the day.

First Alert Weather Days have been issued for Sunday through Tuesday due to dangerous cold conditions.

Tonight, a reinforcing push of cold air arrives, dropping temperatures into the 20s and wind chills into the single digits.

A Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect from midnight until 9 a.m. Sunday.

Please remember to cover plants and pipes, bring in pets and check on neighbors.

On Sunday, North Texas will enjoy sunshine Sunday, but breezy northerly winds and colder air will create a blustery atmosphere.

The warmest temperatures will only feel like the mid- to upper-20s by the afternoon.

Clouds will move in on Martin Luther King Jr. Day with temperatures similar to Sunday, resulting in a frigid morning and afternoon wind chills in the 20s.

A disturbance to the south may bring a few flurries Monday night into Tuesday, but no accumulation is expected in North Texas.

However, Central Texas may see light accumulations of up to 2 inches in some areas.

North Texas will begin to thaw out in the later part of the week.
