Charles Pavlounis is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for CBS News, where he oversees all financial matters for CBS News’ operations.
Pavlounis is responsible for the finance and strategy of the division including budgeting, planning, forecasting, and accounting. He also serves as one of CBS News’ primary liaisons to the CBS Corporation, working closely with the Corporation’s chief operating officer.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Chief Audit Executive for the CBS Corporation, where he was responsible for overseeing the Internal Audit function. In this capacity, Pavlounis provided assurance on the effectiveness of risk management and the strength of the control environment of the Company, regularly reporting results to senior management and the Audit Committee of the CBS Corporation.
Prior to joining CBS, Pavlounis held a variety of positions in corporate compliance and financial management at various companies including Wyndham Worldwide Corp., Dun & Bradstreet, Interpublic Group of Companies, Mercer, Inc. and KPMG.
Pavlounis is a CPA and was graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting from Pace University.
