Tom Cavanagh, star of ED and multiple Scrubs episodes, has been casted for The Flash. He will play Harrison Wells, physics hot-shot and money man behind Central City's S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator. After a fatal lab explosion, he becomes an outcast, but will eventually find redemption when he discovers that his failed experiment had the unintended consequence of creating the world's fastest man.

But wait, Flash fans, there's more! John Wesley Shipp, aka the O.G. Flash, will be part of The CW's remake. Shipp played Flash in the 1990s CBS series. We don't know much about Shipp's role as The CW is remaining very secretive. We do know, however, that if the pilot is picked up, Shipp will be a recurring character. This is huge news for huge Flash fans!

We hope production on The Flash pilot moves as quickly as the Flash, himself! Keep in touch for more news.
